THIS MANDOLIN HAS A GREAT SOUND.IT IS CLEAR AND CRISP-REALLY SOUNDS GREAT THROUGH AN AMPLIFIER.IT HAS AN ONBOARD EQ.WHICH IS NICE.I WAS,HOWEVER, DISAPPOINTED TO FIND A SPLIT IN THE BEAUTIFUL WOOD OVERLAY NEAR THE BASE OF THE NECK-RATHER FRAGILE.OVERALL THOUGH IT IS AN ENJOYABLE IINSTRUMENT TO PLAY AND TO LOOK AT. -RANDY B.
