This system is hard to beat for quality, ease of use and compact power. The design is brilliant well suited to the needs of traveling rock bands or high-powered DJs. A single power cable guarantees no ground loops within the system wiring, and greatly simplifies speeds set-up. Efficient loading makes transport a breeze you unhook hook-up a few cables ( the minimum )and roll the entire thing into the venue. This system is capable of producing impressive kick and low-end, even outdoors, while maintaining vocal intelligibility over a loud band. Unless you are trained acoustician and audio engineer and have the tools to build a custom system for yourself, you can do no better. I know, because I am a trained acoustician and audio engineer and have designed many pro-audio products. The value is astounding when you consider everything you get in this complete plug-and-play system. True, i COULD design and build a somewhat better system, but it would cost three times as much. This is one of the best pro-audio products ever built.

I bought this system b c I needed something for my smaller gigs. My larger system consists of 2 yorkville 18in subs and 2 yorkville dual 15in elite series cabinets. I felt pretty good about buying the EX2 b c I am a yorkville fan. I would say that the EX2 first of all exceptionally compact. I can fit it in my small sedan and be set up at a gig in less than five minutes. The sound is better than OK but not quite as good as I would like. However, I am spoiled by my larger system so maybe there is a little bias that I have towards it. The overall sound is crisp and projects well into rooms 50x50 with ease. I will warn you if you are a bass freak you might be disappointed. The bass is punchy but not earth shattering. For most weddings and smaller bars this system would be an excellant choice. I have had no problems with the EX2. So if you ask me why I bought it I will say for the following reasons...it's high powered, compact, sets up quickly, and ultra reliable. The only negative I have is not enough bass for medium to large venues. Then again most people like to talk to each other at most events unless you are at a dance club. So check it out!!!
