User Reviews of Fender Jaco Pastorius JBass Fretless

This bass is worth the money. I own one and am ready to buy a second...I can't see spending 3 grand on the relic version just to get an epoxy coated fretboard and a beat up finish...besides NO ONE is JACO!! The most impressive parts of this instrument are the feel, playability, and naked sound (unamplified)...It has THAT fretless tone of Jaco's or a more expensive ZON fretless...My only criticism is the noisy pickups that come with it--you'll want to replace with Fender Noiseless--same sound but no annoying 60Hz hum when playing with the lead i.e. bridge pickup for the awesome tone...This bass should convert even the staunchiest fretted player who understands jazz at all and wants to find ''their voice . Amen. Jaco RIP. P.S. Check out Brian Bromberg Jaco CD--his technique and speed have even surpassed Jacos!!! (Not his composition or creativity)...
