Traynor Custom Valve 20WR answers the need for guitar players looking for superior sounding all-tube tone in a smaller, yet still feature loaded, lower powered, more manageable amplifier package.

The Traynor Custom Valve 20WR is perfect for the studio or for any gig where 15 tube watts is more than enough power, but full functionality is required. Unlike competitive amplifiers in this class, the YCV20WR offers the discriminating player two discrete footswitchable channels with true independent gain and volume controls on each. A master three band EQ, effects loop (line output) as well as an internal spring reverb are all standard equipment. Additional controls include bright switch on the clean channel and boost switch on the lead channel.

The Traynor Custom Valve 20WR ensures clean quiet operation by borrowing the same DC Filament and regulated power supply design as used in its big brothers, the Custom Valve 40 and Custom Valve 80's. The YCV20WR is a "Class A" power amplifier driven by three 12AX7A's and two EL84's and features a Celestion "Greenback" G12M 12 speaker, for a truly classic tone.

The internal gadgetry in this channel switching amp provides good flexibility, but makes it very easy to get a great tone. We challenge you to compare us to the competition. You will love the tone and instantly recognize the value of this amp.

The YCV20WR is very much the same internally as our already popular YCV20. But unlike our vintage looking Traynor Custom Valve series which feature black vinyl covering, we have added Wine Red Nubtex and oatmeal grille to the already standard chromeplated corners. This combined with the Celestion Greenback speaker help give the YCV20WR a rich "boutique" look, sound and feel. The rear mounted control panel is easy to access, yet recessed for protection... And of course they come with Yorkville's famous two-year (even if you break it!)* transferable warranty.

If you are like me, and have bought all the Fenders and Marshalls etc. and ended up returning them or selling them cause they just didn't have that certain something, welcome to the Class A world. Responsive, like a muscle car you can carry with one hand! The clean has that tubey, spongy kind of feel that growls when you play harder, so all those lovable little fret noises and trills shine.Independent gain on the clean is a plus, lets you dial in that hint of Overdrive without killing the tone. The Drive channel is a little trickier, due to shared EQ with the clean channel. But with a little time and tweaking and compromise, you can get close to what you want. But be careful, for when you kick in the Boost, this little puppy turns into a wolf. You may find you are tweakin' back on the gain to clean it up a bit. Is it everything you could ask for? Of course not. But for its size and balls and price, for practice or small gigs, or even miked, you can't go wrong! I'm glad I got one and I am a picky SOB. Do it before they raise the price!

15 Watt class A amp,A++++ all around,great sound full featured amp,separate control for each of the two channels,stand by,earphone jack for late nite jamming,looked at a lot of amps in this class,no other has the same features for the money,if you buy with your ears and not your eyes then this amp is not to be overlooked,with the WR option it looks like a Boutique amp,definitely a keeper!!!!!
