The new KETRON state-of-the-art AUDYA represents the next generation of contemporary Entertainment keyboards, featuring a top-quality sound engine, a powerful Audio Multiplayer, revolutionary and unique solutions in the Auto Accompaniment industry, and the capability to interact with the outside world through multiple multimedia capability.
KETRON has once more raised the Arranger keyboard bar up to a long awaited hi-professional level, offering musicians the total freedom to play and control Audio files within the Arranger and Midifiles.

Intelligent Audio Drums

KETRON AUDYA introduces a very innovative concept used with Styles and Midi files : REAL AUDIO DRUMS synchronized under Midi sync tempo domain. Until now, robotic and redundant Midi Drums were the only ways to reproduce drum patterns. AUDYA delivers to you a Live Drummer performance which brings a new drive into the Automatic accompaniment section. Out with the old annoying Midi patterns – in with the new exhaustive Real Audio Drums at your fingertips!!

The Audio Drum tracks are used to play extra long Stereo takes with real Intros, Fills and Endings, all working on perfect sync with the conventional Midi resources and chording.

Figure this out – you can now cover all your background styles such as Pop, Rock, Ballad, Swing, Traditional, Latin with an unprecedent music taste of ‘live musicians’ and not pre-programmed sequence. Real drummers and percussionists did a great job for you ... and they’re still at your convenience, following your Tempo changes and improvisations. No longer will you be asked “which Drum Set did you use for this track”, but “which musician recorded this track for you?” ... Unbelievable!!

Real Audio Arranger

In addition to the Audio Drums, a huge variety of Real Live Guitars and Bass backgrounds have been provided within AUDYA. Folk, Classic, Electric and even Flamenco patterns, all performed by respecting the proper feel of each different type of music, and all perfectly synchronized with Drums and Bass!! With the Unplugged styles, you can enjoy the individual Guitar performances, a perfect tool for singing, performance and composition. The sensation of playing with a Real Band backing was never this true and exciting before. Just play any chord and listen!!

Professional Multiplayer

Thanks to the Midijay experience, the KETRON AUDYA now brings the Player to a new enhanced and realistic dimension, offering dual Wave, dual MP3 and dual Midi file channels and 2 stereo tracks for immediate Hard Disk Recording. Newly developed hi-professional algorithms now permits AUDYA to fluently manipulate Waves and Mp3 with accurate time-stretching on-the-fly for Timing (bpm) and Transposition with barely any noticeable loss of quality. A very useful built-in MP3 Encoder device allows the musician to sing and perform anything on the keyboard and instantly save as MP3 files to a storage media.
The internal 40G HD (upgradeable to 80G) can support a big repertoire of Audio and Midi Songs and settings.
Additional features such as DJLoops, SFX and CD Audio tracks ripped to Wave (via USB) makes the AUDYA’s Multiplayer stand out in a class of it’s own, with endless combination possibilities for live performance.

New Sound Generation

A massive 360 MB hi-quality Sound engine, following the KETRON tradition of Best Natural Sounds. Great variety of New Stereo and Multilayer instruments, including Grand Piano, El. Pianos, Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Pads, Accordions, Synths and some New un-compromised Brass and Sax voices which will sound even more realistic than ever!
128 additional sounds may be quickly loaded from a storage media into the expandable 64MB Internal RAM. A totally redesigned Sampler (44 KHz / 16bit) is also provided along with a new Digital Drawbars section that includes 9 sliders, Percussion, Rotor and Overdrive effects together with sampled Stereo Organs which will produce any full, rich organ sound required.

VOICETRON – KETRON’s new Vocalizer !

Up to 5 voices simultaneously!! Plenty of DSP controls with Formant and Pitch correction, Voice transformers and EFX for new exciting vocal textures. Personalize your live performance by adding the powerful VOICETRON to your Midi files, your Styles or just controlling your “singing notes “ manually from the keyboard in real time. A big preset collection database will quickly transform your tunes from a single voice into an “ A Cappella “ vocal set! The vocal section includes 2 Microphone XLR inputs, 10 band equalizer, individual Effect and Slider controls, Talk, new Pitch to Midi features and more.

Digital Sound Processor (DSP)

3 powerful DSP’s with new enhanced Reverb, Chorus, Distorsion, Echo and Rotor Effects, adding individual controls per Voice. Separate Reverb ambiences for the Lead section, Accompaniment and Microphone (Voicetron). Global 2 Band Equalizer for Wave, Mp3 and enhanced Bass Boost.

Keyboard & Layout

AUDYA is equipped with a new 76 semi-weighted keybed, with Aftertouch and Portamento.
A very intuitive layout makes the keyboard extremely easy to use. The Operating System will reflect basically the philosophy of that used in today’s computers and will therefore result in a confidential platform for any traditional musician, composer or programmer.
The new Colour Display 320x240 TFT, 15 slider controls plus 2 programmable extra sliders and assignable tabs ensures a cool and relaxed panel navigation.

Connections

A couple of Stereo Main Outs, 4 Separate assignable Outs (2 Stereo or 4 Mono, without by-pass for Internal Effects), 2 Line Inputs, SPDIF In/Out, Video Interface socket for additional Monitors/TV for karaoke, Footswitch, Headphone and 4 Midi sockets will ensure any type of Audio and Midi professional connection.

USB / Multimedia

2 USB host sockets + 1 USB device allows AUDYA to properly communicate with new Multimedia gears and computers. External HD, Sticks, CD/DVD Rom and others mass storage devices can be easily connected, thus allowing one to quickly save, reload and transport complete music repertoires in total safety.

AUDYA 4 …. Advanced Music Station

AUDYA 4 represents a new state-of-the-art modern Expander and Arranger Module.

It has a powerful audio multiplayer, a high quality sound engine and unique automatic accompaniment features. The rich set of interfaces includes versatile video support, configurable audio connections and three USB ports to connect to computers and other multimedia devices.

Real Live Arranger

The AUDYA 4 comes with a unique and powerful Arranger Section with over 560 Styles and 370 Audio Drum sequences plus Percussions ( Live Drums ).

World acclaimed Drummers and Percussionists have contributed to this project to optimize the best Rhythmic and Arranger section out there today. These Audio sequences are perfectly synchronized with the MIDI clock in order to allow tempo changes without sacrificing sound quality!

In addition, the AUDYA 4 allows you to synchronize user-imported New Audio drums (User Audio Drums ) in addition to future implementations from KETRON providing an exciting new way to create your own Audio Live Drums from scratch.

But that's not all! Besides Percussion features, the AUDYA 4 includes 159 Live Guitar Patterns suited for typical famous musical styles which now offer significant authentic nuance never before available with the standard MIDI programming offered by other manufacturers.

It's also possible to load New Live Guitars ( GTR ) provided by KETRON and also associable with new or current styles into the RAM of the AUDYA 4.

An innovative system called AUDIO STYLE MODELING on the AUDYA 4 allows you to replace the original Style parts with new ones taken from a huge internal library of : Drum Bank, Bass Bank, Grooves, Guitar BANK 1 & 2, Arp&Lick and Live Guitars.

Why re-invent the wheel when KETRON has already provided you with tons of style parts which your can also use to create your own arrangements within the PATTERN section? If creativity from scratch is required, you may also use your own sequences too.

New Pianist and Bassist functions bring about sophisticated control with complete harmonization and Manual Bass leads played.

Professional Multiplayer

Based on their experience with the flagship Audya, KETRON has raised the performance of the AUDYA 4's multiplayer to new levels of excellence. The AUDYA 4 can play up to six tracks simultaneously; dual WAV, dual MP3 and dual MIDI files with DJ features such as PFL (Pre Fader Listen) - the capability to listen to songs first with headphones before playing through the system, Playlists, Crossfades, Zoom, Song Medley and Txt synchronization to Audio and MIDI songs alike.

With the new exciting Midi Remix feature, you can assign and sync Midi files with a Style's Audio Drums plus -- get this - all Live Guitars are available!! The final result of this mix (including Midi, Audio Drums and Live Guitars), can be saved to a KETRON proprietary format called KMX ( KETRON Midi Remix ). This file can then be exported to other Audya Instruments with full compatibility.

AUDYA 4 records to an internal Hard disk (80 G) any performance played as Wave, Mp3 or MRS (Macro Recording Song) format - this latest KETRON proprietary format allows you to store all instrument events performed (including voice or style changes, tempo, transpositions … etc).

It's also possible to import any CD audio file from an external CD ROM USB device as well. The user can control any external audio device by Line In volume placed on the AUDYA 4 layout.

In order to get the best out of of your performance, the AUDYA 4 KEY TUNE feature allows you to assign your own sample on any key of external keyboard. Each sample assigned will be recalled faster than you ever imagined.

Furthermore KETRON has supplied the AUDYA 4 with a rich variety of DJ loops, ambience sounds and special effects, all of professional quality, ready to be used right out of the box.

New Sound Generation

In keeping with KETRON's tradition of incorporating the Best Natural Sounds, the AUDYA 4 includes an ultra-high quality new sound engine, 430 new stereo Orchestral Presets with multilayer modes, and 320 new Programs with one of KETRON'S latest features - "Voice Character Emulation (VCE)” VCE includes exciting special articulations plus sophisticated Performance controls such as Key Off, Morphing, Coupling, Rotor to Pedal, Aftertouch and Sustain Switch.

Besides all of these new features, users can store their own Harmony mode within a Voice in order to achieve the best setting (OTM - One Touch Melody).

A Preset Selection can be modified and saved as a new Program by using the Edit menu available in the AUDYA 4. The user can also carefully adjust their timbre, dynamic, effects and over all the new articulation features as well.

A 16 Voice List with 300 Programmable Sounds plus the new UVL feature ( User Voice List ) allows you to automatically recall a Voice list which can also include a Style, Midi file, MP3 or WAV file.

In addition to the built-in 64 MBs of RAM for more personalized sounds that can quickly be loaded from disk, we listened to our users' request for more memory and now you can also upgrade this memory with a new expansion up to 256 MB to add a complete new Sound Bank to the internal wavetable. The AUDYA 4 also has a renewed the DSP section with new Rotor, Distortion, Phaser, Flanger, Tremolo, Chorus, Reverb effects and much more.

With the newest SAMPLER Section, you can now sample your own sounds and manage in great detail - thanks the ultimate multisample editor, MSP.

VOICETRON – KETRON’s new Vocalizer !

The AUDYA 4 has a new Vocalizer which incorporates five voices that perform with the best standards on the market today. The Vocalizer is easy to use, thanks to the extended preset library, but it can also be edited by the musician with controls over the harmonic content of the voice, equalization and effects. The Vocalizer works in real time on one of the two microphone inputs of the AUDYA 4. It has dedicated reverb and delay functions and can be controlled manually with the keyboard or automatically, via the Arranger or MIDI files. An innovative linking method of the chords means that Voicetron is able to interpret musical passages according to the rules of traditional harmony.

User Interface / Audio Connections

The AUDYA 4 allows management of aftertouch and portamento features. The control panel is designed to help the musician, especially in live situations. Seventeen sliders, (one assignable), offer efficient control of volumes and effects in real time. The instrument's current status is clearly shown by the various LEDs built into the keys and by the graphics that appear on the integrated colour display (LCD TFT technology with a resolution of 320x240). The user interface is similar to that of modern computers, so it is very easy to use.

In addition to the 10 User tabs currently on the panel and the traditional Pedal foot controls (Footswitch ), the AUDYA 4 includes a new section of assignable Tabs 1-16. These buttons come with a default KETRON factory setting plus a free programmable user section (User Tabs), which allows direct management over other more important AUDYA 4 features.

A new revolutionary Registration structure means that you can save and instantly recall not only the general status of the instrument (Sounds, Styles, Volumes, Micro etc.) but also any links to an audio source required for the performance, for example a Wave, an Mp3, a Midi file and even a Playlist. There is also a Language menu for the customised viewing of the most important functions of the instrument in several languages.

The AUDYA 4 offers an absolutely complete set of inputs and outputs, both analogue and digital. Together with the typical pair of stereo audio outputs, there are four separate outputs that can be configured as auxiliary stereo audio outputs or as mono audio outputs (with or without DSP effects). The AUDYA 4 also has two stereo input lines, an output for headphones, 4 Midi ports, two Combo inputs ( XLR + 1/4" ) for the microphone and a dedicated output for the metronome click (for recording or use with a live drummer … etc).

The AUDYA 4 and its internal Hard Disk can easily be connected via USB to a computer to edit the musical contents of the instrument and to back-up files. Furthermore, two USB host ports accept many mass storage devices, such as the very popular USB sticks, external USB hard drives, and CD and DVD readers, making it easy to exchange data externally.

On KETRON's web site (www.ketron.it) some interesting free software tools are already available for all users such the Style Compiler (for creating Styles on a computer) and DJ Loop Compiler (for creating your own Dj Loops easily).
