Not certain if it is the discs i am using (have used several different brands, or if I have a lemon, but I am experiencing two seperate issues. 1. To play back without skipping, need to use a high quality cd player. Have experienced serious skipping problems on several playback players. 2. Experiencing random skips in the recordings. Would not recommend for the highprice paid. Beware

The Marantz CDR 300 revolutionized my life. I was using mini-disc technology to record live concerts. I would then have to transfer them to CD. I can now record directly to CD. The quality of sound on these recordings is incredible, using just the internal mic. I recommend using Audio CDRs for this machine. Data CDs work, but not as well as the Audio CDRs. Great machine that is reasonably easy to use.
