General MIDI ROM Block For Your K2600!
To expand your sound palette, you can add additional ROM Soundblocks to your V.A.S.T. series instrument. These ROM blocks add a large, unique collection of instantly-available sounds to the permanent internal sound memory.

The General MIDI ROM Soundblock provides instant access to the General MIDI 1 program set. The General MIDI soundblock provides 8 MB of sounds, along with 128 Programs and 8 Drum Kits.

The Orchestral ROM, RM1-26, is REQUIRED for the General MIDI Soundblock.

Along with the General MIDI Soundblock, Kurzweil has enhanced the K2600 Operating System to provide easy access to a General MIDI operating mode. In this mode, the K2600 selects only GM programs, and behaves as a GM module.
