New Fender Acoustasonic™ Series Amplifers:
The World’s Top-Selling Acoustic Amplifier Just Got Better!
AWARD-WINNING FENDER® ACOUSTASONIC™ SERIES ADDS DSP TO THE MIX
SCOTTSDALE, AZ -Fender® Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) proudly
announces that it will unveil cutting edge updates on two of its award-winning
Acoustasonic™ Series amplifiers, which will be unveiled at this winter’s
NAMM show. Fender’s top-selling Acoustasonic Jr. and Acoustasonic 30
have now been fitted with on board, state-of-the-art DSP effects that offer
even more versatility to the world’s most trusted name in acoustic amplification.
With more than a year spent on research and development, the new Acoustasonic
Jr. DSP and Acoustasonic 30 DSP now feature handcrafted Digital Signal Processing
effects that combine the clarity of Fender’s Acoustasonic Series with
the versatility on board digital features to offer musicians a complete palette
of acoustic possibilities. New DSP effects include Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Vibratone,
and more, all of which are specially designed and optimized for acoustic performers.
Says Shane Nicholas, Marketing Manager for Fender Amplifiers, “Both
the Acoustasonic Jr. and the Acoustasonic 30 have been widely successful for
a number of years, and musicians who play acoustic instruments have come to
know them as the top of the line in acoustic amplifiers. With technology that
our engineers have been working on, we are now able to add DSP effects to the
mix, making these truly the most versatile, well-built and best sounding amplifiers
available.”
The new Acoustasonic Jr. DSP is an updated version of the Fender Acoustasonic
Junior. It is a portable, well-built, easy-to-use combo amp designed for natural-sounding
reproduction of electric-acoustic guitar and vocals. The new onboard DSP effects
and XLR output add extra excitement and usefulness to this already great formula.
The Acoustasonic Jr. DSP uses two 40-Watt power sections to drive a pair of
8” foam-surround low-frequency drivers and a high-frequency Tweeter.
The amp’s two separate Instrument and Microphone channels each contain
individual EQ controls, Phase switches for feedback reduction, FX Select and
FX Level. Fender’s patented String Dynamics™ control tames harsh
treble notes on the Instrument channel, and Feedback Notch control removes
most feedback problems associated with Piezo pickups.
Phantom Power is supplied at the XLR Mic Input. Professional XLR Line Output
with Level control and Ground Lift allows perfect direct input to any mixer.
Fender tilt-back legs aim the sound where it’s needed, and an optional
2-button footswitch allows FX On/Off selection for each channel.
The Acoustasonic 30 DSP gets its power from a 30-Watt power amplifier driving
an 8” foam-surround low-frequency driver and a high-frequency Tweeter.
