ZOOM GFX3 Details
Take Your Playing to the Next Stage!
Analog distortion circuitry creates the muscle, while digital filtering finds the "sweet spot". This hybrid modeling technology, VAMS, developed by ZOOM, combines the best of the analog and digital worlds.
10 Amp Sounds, and 10 Distortion Effects
10 guitar amp sounds that are well-known standards around the world are at your fingertips, along with 10 different types of effects. Enjoy the realistic drive sound of various tube amps, from vintage combo to modern high gain. Choose from two variations (STANDARD and CLASSIC), to get a 60s and 70s sound. Or use the acoustic simulator that makes an electric guitar sound like an acoustic.

Foot Switches Give Direct Access
The GFX-3 has three pedals for direct access to three of your favorite effect patches. Ideal for playing live. They also let you quickly scroll through banks of effects.
Intuitive User Interface
The panel layout is designed to show effect parameters as a matrix that lets you see at a glance what is happening. The combination of module keys and parameter keys gives access to all edit parameters. The VALUE dial has that smooth analog feel, while parameter values are clearly shown on the digital readout. Perform precise editing every time.
7 Effect Modules and 50 Effects
The GFX-3 offers 50 effects in various categories including dynamics, drive, modulation, and ambience. It's like having seven stomp boxes all in one place. All the regular effects for guitar are there, plus some unconventional ones such as SFX and REVERSE DELAY. Each effect type has four parameters, letting you adjust the delay time in BPM, change the wah connection point to before the drive module, or shape the sound in many other ways.
60 Preset Patches
The impressive array of preset patches covers the sound of musical greats in many genres. Standard Rock 'n Roll, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Alternative, you name it: the GFX-3 has it. Patches for vintage effects and representative amp modeling settings are also available. Or create your very own patches and store them in the 60 slots of the user memory.
Control Effects with Expression Pedal
The built-in pedal is a great tool for any stage performance. Not only can you adjust volume, wah, or pitch, you also have control over aspects such as distortion effect gain, modulation speed, or reverb mix. The dedicated pedal assign key lets you quickly choose the effect to control.
Seven amp cabinet simulator settings
The amp cabinet simulator is great for producing speaker sound from a guitar with line connection. This is useful when working with headphones or recording directly onto a multi-track machine. Choose from seven settings including Combo, Bright Combo, and Stack.
Energizer produces powerful sound even from a small amp
The Energizer effect continually enhances the mid and high range frequencies and ensures a tight low end. You can use it to make a guitar stand out in band setting, or produce powerful, dynamic sounds from even a small guitar amp.
ZNR (Zoom Noise Reduction)
ZNR was developed by Zoom with the specific aim of optimizing guitar sound. Noise in playing pauses is efficiently removed while keeping any impact on the original sound to a minimum. This assures a natural sounding release also after a long sustain.
Integrated auto chromatic tuner
High-brightness LED indicators allow easy tuning also on a dark stage. The inventive Zoom method clearly shows pitch shifts by the rotation speed of the indicators, for quick and intuitive fine tuning. The mute function is convenient for use on stage without having to worry about the sound.
Metal chassis designed for use on stage
Most effects pedals these days are made of plastic. Not this one. The metal chassis of the GFX-3 can withstand the rigors of the road, use on stage or in the rehearsal studio, as well as during frequent transport. Stability is excellent, which is important when connecting cables and using the pedal. Jacks are mounted to the chassis with retaining nuts, so that the internal circuitry is protected even if a jack should be accidentally subjected to excessive force.
11 hours continuous operation on one set of AA batteries
The low power consumption design allows the GFX-3 to operate continuously for 11 hours on one set of four IEC R6 (size AA) alkaline batteries. There's no more need to worry about running out of juice during a live performance. For extended studio work or rehearsals, the separately available AC adaptor (AD-0006) can help reduce running costs.
