The North American made Traynor YBA200-2 200-watt all tube bass head is built to deliver a solid foundation for any player looking for a great rock, blues or country bass tone.

Designed for maximum dependability under even the most grueling playing conditions, the fan cooled Traynor YBA200-2 uses solid plywood box construction, all-metal handles, nickel corners and an all-metal chassis for unmatched long-term reliability. Four KT88 tube in the power stage, two 12AX7A’s and one 12AU7 in the preamp to deliver the warmth and tone you would expect only from a great tube amp.

Basic controls include input gain, master volume and a simple but effective three-band master EQ. Innovative tone shaping features like Scoop, Range, and Resonance controls ensure that any tone can easily be dialed in with a YBA200-2, making it one of the most effective and versatile tube heads in its class.

The Scoop control sweeps from a flat frequency response to a mid-frequency dip at 400 Hz and can be completely bypassed from a separate front panel on/off switch. The Range control shifts the overall shape and general tonal characteristic of the master EQ section of the amp while the Resonance knob controls the damping factor of the amplifier’s output stage, allowing the player to take full advantage of the tone of his loudspeaker enclosure.

The use of toroidal transformers reduces the overall weight of the YBA200-2 making it less than 41 pounds, - much lighter than any other high-power all-tube bass amp in this class.

The YBA200-2 has high and low level 1/4-inch inputs, a 1/4-inch tuner output with a switchable mute function that mutes the entire rig and kills the DI output when tuning. The front panel mounted XLR D.I. output has a one-touch ground lift, a 20dB pad and is switchable pre or post EQ.

As the desire for real tube tone continues to grow among bassists, Yorkville responds to the demand by re-introducing Canadian-made Traynor Tube Amplifiers!

Made famous in the 60's and 70's, Traynor Tube Amps were a hit among both professional and hobby bass players, and were known for their affordability and great tone. And, they were tough as nails!!

To relaunch the popular Traynor bass amplifier line is a fan-cooled 200-watt all-tube bass head, the YBA200. Powered by four Sovtek 6550WE power tubes amplifying the two Sovtek 12AX7A and one 12AU7 that make up the preamp section. In true Traynor tradition, there are no semiconductors in the signal path.

In addition to the famous Traynor ‘Scoop’ control, two unique tone-shaping controls appear on the YBA200, making it one of the most versatile bass amplifiers in its class.

The Range control shifts the overall tone shape and general tonal characteristics of the master EQ section of the amp. The completely new Resonance Control, when used with a high quality and responsive loudspeaker enclosure like the Traynor YBX1510, allows the player to dial in the exact bass response from their rig that they want to hear from their amplifier. It’s easy to get any sound from a tight and punchy tone to a looser, more ‘vintage-tube’ sound with the Traynor YBA200. The Resonance control actually controls the damping factor of the amplifier’s output stage, and allows the player to take full advantage of the tone of his loudspeaker enclosure.

To compliment the retro look and sound is the 400-watt Traynor YBX1510 bass enclosure, the perfect mate to the YBA200 bass head. The YBX1510 is loaded with a compression driver, a single 15-inch and two 10-inch speakers, custom designed by Eminence specifically for this cabinet. - Designed and tuned as a complete unit, the YBX1510 delivers more tone than any separate two-ten cabinet stacked with a single 15-inch box can provide. The YBX1510 has two separate ported chambers in its enclosure; each tuned to compliment each other while taking specific advantage of their individual component’s strengths.

The YBX1510’s two-ten section with the compression driver delivers clarity, definition and the majority of the bottom end, while the single 15-inch driver provides punch and low-mid presence. The compression driver has an L-pad volume control so as much or as little of the high frequency driver can be dialed in as required.

The Traynor Bass amps take their place among the vintage Traynor with the familiar black vinyl covering and black metal corners, all plywood construction, and a classic front-mounted Traynor logo, just like on their guitar counterparts, the Traynor Custom Valve Series. And of course they come with Yorkville’s famous two-year (even if you break it!)* transferable warranty
