Yorkville LS608 Overview

All ?lite subwoofers are horn-loaded except for the LS1004 which is a bass reflex design. Suitable for touring or fixed installations, the cabinets are constructed of 3/4" Canadian plywood (15mm 11-ply Birch for LS608B) with heavy internal bracing for reduced resonance and better durability. All enclosures are covered in a black carpet covering and incorporate metal corner protectors, rugged curved anti-resonant metal grilles, and 1/4" or Speakon? input connectors. An optional finish of black ultrathane paint (LS608B ) is also available. Additionally, the Speakon? connectors feature a configuration switch which allows instant reversal of Speakon? jack pinouts for easy single wire hook-up using optional four wire Speakon? cables.

LS608 Features

The LS608 and LS808 include flush, top-mounted stand adapters so that optional speaker poles may be used to mount full range enclosures above ? avoiding the need for separate tripod stands. The LS608 and LS808 both feature dual, side-mounted, inset carry handles making it easier for two people to carry them. The LS908 and LS1004 have tilt-back wheels and top/rear mounted corner handles for better maneuverability and stacking (wheels don't fall in the handles!!).

I play in a national touring band (club level) we had a complete Bag End system with 4 subbs, we would blow one of these about every 3 months NEVER had enough solid low end. Then we went to (2) Peavey Sp-118 subs, better, but still funky low end EQ, and they were HUGE heavy! we then got 4 LS608 subs 2 U15 tops, these are AMAZING!! the subs project great, are tight, solid the power amp is only using a little more than half power at top volume (loud!) we don't use any amps on stage, we all go direct , so it needs to solid. The subs can be moved by one guy, although we move them with 2 just to make it easier, I can't recommend these subs enough....I've also used JBL's , but nothing even comes close to these for the money...and also check out the tops (U15) we only use 2 cabs instead of 4 and NEVER redline the system!

Truely the best bang for the buck sub on the market today. This sub will blow you away. It may look small, but the sound this thing produces is amazing. Im pushing 900 watts into each of my 4 LS608s. Ive managed to cover 800 people with these subs. They can really throw the sound well. Even in the largest of rooms you can still feel the bass in the back. I highly recommend them to anyone on a budget.
