The higher power 300 Watt C2560 contains a single
15" speaker and horn. Each enclosure features a 2" titanium diaphragm, high
frequency driver firing through a 1" exit hole to a 60ºx40º waveguide horn for
unsurpassed sonic clarity . Time-tested passive crossover networks (12 dB per
octave) ensure sonic accuracy.
In the lower frequency range the higher power woofer combines solid performance
with outstanding reliability. The enclosures feature inset input-jack plates
which contain binding post and 1/4" phone connectors. The enclosures are
painted with a white two-part epoxy and incorporate curved, anti-resonance
speaker grille constructed of perforated 16 gauge steel. Both enclosure and
grille can be easily refinished and feature a grille clip attachment system for
easy removal and recovering. Painstaking attention to details of design is
evidenced by features such as the safety screw hidden under the embossed
Yorkville logo which ensures that the grille does not inadvertently come loose.
The Coliseum series enclosures are constructed of highly rigid 15mm (.5906")
baltic birch plywood. Their trapezoidal shape is conducive to array-mounting
and minimizes lobing difficulties. The C2560
is equipped with four flypoints and a pullback. The flypoints are steel
reinforced and engineered to allow easy, flexible and safe enclosure
suspension.
