The PSR225GM comes
complete with a great package of professional features,
including stereo-sampled piano sounds, on-board educational features, GM
compatibility and touch sensitivity.
The PSR225GM features a piano-shaped Portable Grand
feature button, which automatically chooses the best
piano sound, puts the keyboard in full keyboard mode, also turns off the auto-
accompaniment, and selects an appropriate piano accompaniment style.
The on-board Yamaha Education Suite (YES) comes complete
with Chord Dictionary, Smart Chord, EZ Chord and Melody Guide. Chord Dictionary
indicates what chord is currently being played, and will also indicate how to
play an appropriate chord. Smart Chord helps beginners play chords that are
musically correct with only one finger. (In the past, portable keyboards often
required two or three fingers to play minor and 7th chords). Melody Guide shows
how to play the melody of any selection from the internal song library. EZ
Chord allows the user to pre-program all chords in a song, allowing him or her
to concentrate on the right-hand melody. Adjacent to the piano button is a
metronome-shaped button, for accurate timing.
