This is my first set of electronic drums and I have to say I am very impressed. I had it set up in minutes right out of the box. The pads are very responsive and feel great. I especially like the feel of the cymbals they are as close to the real thing as you can get. I use this set to practice at home but play a Roland V-Stage at my church. The mesh pads on the v-stage have too much give in them and don't feel right to me. I definitely like the Yamaha pads better and it costs so much less. This set is definitly the best out there for the money.

I think that the DTXPRESS3 is the best electronic simulation of drums ever! Now if your a rock star, well not enough imputs, but I would highley reccomend this product to a begining drummer. It's also great for gigging musicians because it's small size, and it's HUGE selection of drum samples. The only thing I wish it had was a better cable mannagement thing because cables go everywhere! Yet after 5 min. of un-tangling it's fine. Now the only other thing I would highly reccomend is the YAMAHA MS100DR DRUM MONITOR SYS, also sold on MusiciansBuy.com it is a wondreful monitor system because it picks up the lowest kick-drum and the crash cymbals and everthing inbetween! So far this has been a wonderful kit for me and my band!

I have always wanted to play the drums and could barely play a tamboreen. I found the Yamaha Dx and hook my ipod up to it and I play along with my music! I may suck but the drums don't and it is a hell of alot of fun. My landlord lives above me and can not even here me when I play at 4am! Also, when I sit at an accoustic set of drums now I can pound them with confidence.

These are my first E drums so I'm still getting aquanted with the set. The sound and virsitality of the module is good. The display could be larger. The feel of the pads are pretty close to accustic. Set up was easy. I was playing 30 minnuts after opening the boxes. The rack and hardware seems to be strong enough to accomadate a real heavy hitter. The price thru Musiciansbuy was equal to other online stores. I purchased the kit from them because the throne, kick pedal and headphones were included. All better than entry level extras. I'm happy with the kit and will buy from Musiciansbuy when it's time to upgrade.
