The secret of the Silent Brass system is the Pickup Mute. This is the first tuba practice mute which keeps the tuning of your instrument. The secret of the mute lies in the revolutionary Inner Head design which maintains the same intonation you would have if the tuba was played 'open'. Play high or low, loud or soft, and your pitch will remain true and centered. And what's more, when used with the personal studio and earphones you won't feel as if the air is backing up on you. Your tuba will feel as free and responsive as it does during open play.
