Unlike any other kit available the E400 comes with all the contents of the award winning A400 Portable Acoustic Kit PLUS a full set of Electronic Pads, Electronic Cymbals and MODULE!!!
You get a standard sized set of drums 12" snare, 10" tom, 12" tom, 14" tom and 20" kick drum. These are fitted with Remo heads giving excellent sound performance.
The portability of the kit is second to none with drums folding and packing down to fit in the Traps bags (not included).
Ideal for practising and learning yet portable enough for gigs. The A400 rack mounting system is made from sturdy large diameter chromed steel tubing. The kit can easily be set up for either left or right handed players using the supplied tough ABS multifunctional joints.
When set up the rack is very strong and once fitted with the supplied four large rubber feet stays where it's placed and doesn't move. This provides a noticeble improvement in playability compared to other portable drum sets in this price bracket.
Top Quality Hardware
The A400 comes fitted with quality hardware as standard. This includes chain-driven Traps branded hi hat and kick drum pedals which are both rugged and free moving. Also included is a snare basket, boom cymbal arms (which can be slid into the frame for easy storage) and drummers throne. The hardware is both reliable and distinctive featuring quality chain drives, memory locks, expansion springs and clutches.
Rack system

20" kick drum
The E400 20" kick drum is an uncompromising double-headed design fitted with a Remo Powerstroke 3 head on the back and an Ebony on the front printed with the Traps logo. It is also fitted with chrome plated steel hoops.
The shell is made from a robust high quality injection moulded ABS fitted with custom dual mounting points ideally suited to mounting in the E400 rack mount system. A strong metal plate is fitted to the bottom of the rear counter hoop so that when the kick pedal is fitted the beater strikes the head at the optimum position - top of the upstroke.
The new Traps E502 Drum Module is very user friendly with color coded cable harness, headphone output, click track and L and R output jacks. The E502 has 215 high quality percussion sounds, 20 preset kits, 50 preset songs and 10 user kits. It also has 5 drum pads, 1 hi hat, 1 auxiliary, 3 cymbal inputs, song tempo adjustment and midi out. A very cool easy to use module!!
The E400 US kit includes electronic pads which are simply placed on the drums, these fit onto each drum within seconds and simply plug into the Cable Harness supplied. They have a soft but durable playing surface with a high quality finish.
These Traps e-pads are the same size as the drums so unlike any other pad kit, these pads are the real size and don't bounce!
E400 has silent playing electronic cymbals with soft pads, these single zone cymbals fit easily on the boom arms and Hi Hat stand included. By connecting these to the harness, like the pads, they send signals to the module.
The hi hat consists of one of these cymbals plus a switch triggered via a standard foot pedal so that it functions in the same way as an acoustic hi hat, unlike any other kit in the E400 price range.
A kick pad which fits quickly and easily over the bass drum pad and mutes the acoustic sound. The connection to the 'brain' via the harness outputs one of the many sampled sounds encapsulated in the module.
So it's a great sounding electronic drum set for gigs or quiet practising without driving the neighbours crazy, but when you feel the need a great sounding acoustic kit take off the pads, fit regular cymbals and you're off and running.
