I am and have been VERY impressed with all the E series mics.I purchased the e905 mic awhile back specifically for snare and use this mic on top at about 45 degree angle faced away from toms.and use the small E condensor mic pointed straight up at the bottom of the snare.this IS the sound you are looking for, spend the 500 bucks for both E series mics and you won't be disappointed.I ve tried many snare mics forget the shure 57 and those other cheap @ss mics.are you looking for that deep crisp snare sound here it is.
