This is one wildly powerful amplifier. I am a bass player who usually bridges the output to a 4X10 cab and a 2X12 cab in series. Monstrous, rich, engaging, loud and wonderfully clean. Two downsides though: at lower volumes the fan is annoyingly noisy and I suppose should be considered for those who plan to play at quieter volumes. But this seems moot if you're considering a 2.1 anyway. Also the out options seem a little old-fashioned (5-way binding posts?) I would 've really dug a Speakon out which is pretty darn standard these days. Still I am sold on all things Stewart- they are a very friendly company- the tech guys will listen to you all day- and they are a company who truly focuses on purity of sound. Not a lot of vendors carry these guys, so big props to MB for carrying their (almost) complete line!
