Been playing V's for 8-9 years now, 40 years total playing drums. TDW 20 is not all its cracked up to be. I'm finding it really hard to see what in this expansion is worth $500. Yeah some new sounds, old ones are just as good. Cant really see any big deal over the supposed hit hat improvements either. You get a whopping 4 new acoustic tom types, and their no better then the existing ones really, if anything the new improved response feel makes the toms harder to repeat the same sound if you dont hit the pad in the exact same place each time. It is nice to have 100 kits on the dial, but thats not really worth $500. I will say some of the new cymbal sounds are better, and finally a copy instrument feature, which was always available in TD10. All in all, guess if you have TD20 you need the upgrade too.

I ve Been waiting years like the rest of the world for Roland to update the td-20 s artificial drum tones. and they Did a good job with this one . The Drums actually sound like Drums Yeah!! and the ambiences are a huge improvment, and the dynamic responce is way more natural to. I Still think Roland SHould have put more Real acoustic choices and not so many electronic sounds! there are no new backing tracks bye the way. But the realism of the new tones and playablity is definatly worth The Money$ as far the headphones that are included , they make a nice decoration !LOL ,no frequency responce at all, but there included in the price. Thanks Musician s buy for all the Updates while waiting to get this item shipped from Roland . Musicians Buy Rocks ! Now Go place your Order !
