Classic British crunch with patented Texture™ tone shaping.
"Numerous manufacturers have attempted to build a low-cost all-tube head that produces authentic British tones, but the Peavey Windsor is the first that truly delivers on the promise. Its midrange barks like the hounds of the Baskervilles, its lows track without compromise and its signal easily sustains into harmonic feedback. Look no further." --Eric Kirkland in the December 2007 issue of Guitar World
Windsor™ Series Head: A British steal! The 100-watt, single-channel Windsor guitar amplifier infuses the sought-after tones of rock music's golden era through exclusive Peavey technologies and a three-12AX7, four-EL34 tube configuration. The patented, fully adjustable Texture control adjusts the power amp from modern class-A/B push-pull tones to vintage class-A sounds for an incredible range of tone texturing and coloring.
Windsor™ Studio: Get overdriven-tube tone at any volume -- and with any tube -- in this genuine class-A marvel. Armed with both preamp and master volume, you can dial up subtle overdrive or a raucous rock-out, with righteous saturation just a touch away (courtesy the boost button). The Windsor Studio also has an on-board speaker-simulated direct output and the Power Sponge™ attenuator, which adjusts the output level while maintaining the distortion characteristics you dial in at any volume level. When you want a different tone, just switch out the tubes on the power amp. No rebiasing required!
Windsor™ Studio Equipped with Power Sponge™
With its 15-watt power stage, XLR microphone-simulated output and Power Sponge output attenuator -- which adjusts the power output of the amplifier while maintaining the distortion characteristics of the power amp at any volume level -- the new Class-A Windsor Studio is equally suited to recording and live-performance applications.
The single-channel Windsor Studio features a footswitchable Boost button, which increases the preamp level to allow the flexibility of a dual-channel amp plus control over the dynamic response and rich distortion characteristics of its class-A tube power topology. The Boost function can be used as an overdrive feature for the power section or simply as a volume boost for soloing. This 15-watt amplifier uses two 12AX7 preamp tubes and one EL34 power-amp tube in a single-ended configuration with no negative feedback. The power section is designed to accommodate 6L6GC, 6550, 6CA7, KT88 and KT66 octal power tubes, as well as variations on those types. Peavey’s exclusive new Power Sponge™ output attenuator incrementally adjusts the power output of the amplifier while maintaining the distortion characteristics of the power amp at any chosen volume level. Also onboard is a transformer-balanced XLR direct output with a unique microphone simulator that allows players to send the amplifier signal to a recording device or front-of-house mix without the use of a microphone. Additional features include true spring reverb, preamp volume, master volume, three-band tone equalization, footswitchable effects loop and a single 12” loudspeaker.

"Hi Carl, Just a quick THANKS for a perfect telephone transaction. The Casio P-130 keyboard (with stand, pedal board and bench) turned out to be perfect for the Rose Lane assisted living facility at The Village At Filmore Pond. It arrived so quickly that I couldn't get there to set it up for a few days, and the residents were bouncing with anticipation! Love the pedals! The keyboard's touch is fantastically better than that of my Studiologic 800 controller. Now I'm more anxious than ever to get rid of it. The volume and sound quality is fine for the room and audience. I wasn't expecting a Steinway Grand, and didn't get one, but I'm satisfied with what I hear from the internal sound system. Carl, it's obvious that you know that every sale is an opportunity to gain a loyal customer. Know that my first call for anything musical will be to MusiciansBuy!"
