Passport® Deluxe PD-500 Portable Sound System Designed to rock! Designed with musicians in mind, the PD-500 is the next evolution in portable PA solutions. The PD-500 features an 8 channel mixer, patented Feedback Killer, 48 volt phantom power, selectable digital effects and a 500 watt class D stereo power amp. The PD-500 speaker cabinets feature Neo-Precision neodymium speakers designed by Celestion for superior musical performance and decreased weight. The Neo- Precision speaker design features two 8” woofers and one titanium compression driver and horn per cabinet. The first thing that sets you back about this system is that it won't run on the battery pack and power pack, be careful you don't fall for the trap that I did. The sound is full and rich and the system will amply do what it is supposed to do. The sound easily fills a 250x150 arena and is easily heard by 500 people. The unit is intuitive and robust. You can easily over drive the speakers and much over 6 on the volume control runs you into the red. For simple requirements such as presentations and clinics, small venues and vocals speakers this unit is just fine. Super easy to carry around and very compact.
