Fender® Celebrates 50 Years Of Musical Heritage With New Commemorative Model Guitars!

Beginning in January of 2004, the world renowned Fender Custom Shop will make a limited number of 50th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster guitars. These faithful replications will be made with the same exacting detail as the original instruments, using many of the same machines and manufacturing methods used 50 years ago.

To pay homage to 50 years of Fender quality and innovation, Fender will also introduce two new modern commemorative models: the 50th Anniversary American Series Stratocaster and the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Series Stratocaster.

Fender (Guitars- Limited Lifetime., Electronic Products: 90 Days; Power and pre-amplifier tubes, lamps, meters & cables. 180 Days: Groove Tubes brand pre-amplifier tubes. 1 Year: Speakers, drivers, cabinets & cabinet hardware. These are fabulous. I have owned several strats over the years and this guitar, out of the box, is as good as the best of them. No need to swap pickups or upgrade any other parts. I don't own a 50th anniversary strat but I have played one belonging to a friend. His is the top-of the-line vintage sunburst gold hardware model. Here in Canada, these guitars (2004 50th Anniversary strat) retail brand new for just over $1600 Cdn. My friend paid just over $1300 Cdn for his at one of the large local music shops. It was pre-owned but still mint and complete with the 50th anniversary tweed case and all of the original accessories and manuals (including the tremolo bar) still factory-sealed in plastic bags. If I can find one at that price I will probably sell the two strats I currently own and buy it.
