combination of Martin's ‘Hybrid’ X-bracing.Displaying the simple elegance of
Martin styling, the D-16GT Dreadnought features a solid spruce top polished to
a high gloss, and solid bookmatched genuine mahogany back and sides finished
with an attractive and durable semi-gloss finish.

For the money, this is a beautiful sounding and playing guitar. I picked mine up used and had to replace the nut, saddle, pegs and strings. I was looking at new acoustics in the $1000 range when I found this trade in at my local store for $500. I like the tone of this particular guitar better than some much more expensive Taylors, Larivees, and Seagulls I had auditioned.

A beautiful instrument with a full rich sound. It sounds good, looks good, feels good and even smells good. A pleasure to pick it up and play it. Mine was bought second hand, is five years old and in mint condition, just needed a slight adjustment to the truss rod and action height and now it's just perfect.
