We know you need to be able to make changes quickly, so we designed the MX400’s intuitive front panel to be a bare minimum of knob tweaks away from any adjustment or effects change. For example, three individual, assignable parameter controls mean you don’t have to page through menus to fine tune a reverb tail. LEXICON MX400 FAQ ^top

Q: I cannot use the VST plug-in. I have just installed Cubase LE software and cannot access the MX-400 VST plug-in.
A: Make sure your MX-400 is not being used as a default MIDI port device. Check under the VST host applications' MIDI device settings and de-select the Lexicon MX-400 control port as an Input or Output device for MIDI communications.
Q: On the MX-400, will I be able to use more than one instance of the VST plug in at a time?
A: Only one instance of the plug-in can be used at a time. The VST control panel plug-in does not process any audio. The VST plug-in provides remote control over the parameters of the MX-400 host unit via USB and does not carry any audio to or from the unit.
Q: I engaged a Bypass on one processor, why don't I hear any sound?
A: When MX400 is set for "Bypass Mute" (in the Utility Menu) and Routing 2 (Cascade) is selected, the signal has been interrupted at P1 or P2 – and no sound will be output. Change Routing Options, or change to "Bypass Dry" (the default setting) in the Utility Menu.
