.11 MB) The new Pa60 combines enhanced sequencing functions, powerful performance features, comprehensive arranging tools and impeccable sound quality. Its huge, custom, backlit LCD screen displays the status of multiple features in an organized and easy-to-read
manner. Proven sound
quality The Pa60 relies on the same HI synth engine found in Korg's TRITON and Karma professional workstations. Needless to say, its sound quality is second to none! Included with its 660 sound programs is a new set of very expressive solo instruments, sampled with a natural vibrato. All sounds are fully editable, and simple sound edits can be made inside the sequencer itself. Four studio-quality effect processors are available and feature 89 different effec
t
types. Musica
l Styles The Pa60 provides a huge collection of music Styles created by top musicians from around the world. Each Style provides up to eight accompaniment parts – drum, bass, percussion and more – that respond interactively with your playing. With 256 editable Styles onboard (plus 48 user Styles) the Pa60 can cover any situation. Eight parts, four Variations, two Fills, two Intros and two Endings per Style provide you all the control needed to create a natural-sounding performance. Need more? Styles can be stored to or played from a floppy disk – including existing Korg i-Series Styles – or an optional internal hard drive. Still more? You can download free PC software from www.korgpa.com to convert SMF standard MIDI files into Pa60 Styles. Additional Styles are also available online, free of
charge. Beyond Styles – STS and Performance
settings In addition to the eight parts that comprise a Style, up to three sounds are available on the keyboard as real-time parts. You can also play a fourth real-time part on the lower portion of the keyboard when you use the keyboard split function. Each Style contains four STS (Single Touch Settings). With the STS, a single button push will call up new sounds for the real-time parts that are appropriate to the Style. The Pa60 also has room for 160 user defined Performance Memories. Each Performance can instantly recall the sounds, effects, panning, transposition and other settings assigned to each accompaniment part and real time part, adding variety and flexibility to a live per

ormance Powerful performance
features Each of the four pads on the front panel can be assigned to either a percussion or effect sound. These pads can also be used to provide instant access to a variety of Pa 60 functions such as muting the effects, selecting the next Style, or even assigning Quarter Tones on the fly. These functions and many more can also be assigned to an optional footswitch connected to the Pa60. Along with the Joystick; the synchronized start/stop, fade in and out, tap tempo, accompaniment reset and other front panel functions are available at your fing
ertips. Extensive se
quencing In addition to the traditional real-time and step-time sequencing available on upper echelon workstations, the Pa60 also features our unique Backing Sequencer, which can capture up to eight tracks of Style accompaniment and up to eight tracks of real time playing in a single pass. This Backing Sequencer data can be edited in powerful and musical ways, speeding the realization of your musical ideas. Where traditional workstations provide an empty palette to start from, the Pa60's Backing Sequencer takes advantage of the accompaniment system to provide you with as little or as much of a band as you need. In performance, nothing beats the revolutionary XDS Dual Sequencer found in the Pa60. With fully independent transport controls for each sequencer and a DJ style crossfader, the Pa60 can provide a seamless and satisfying performance. Our unique "Jukebox" mode allows you to create various "set lists" so the Pa60 can perform a whole set with you – nonstop! The Pa60 is completely compatible with GM and SMF files. Lyrics embedded in SMF sequences are shown in the
