A New Operating System is Available: Some of the new enhancements The new OS allows for 16 oscillators per voice, as in the Pa800. To make the best use of this feature, you can also download the Grand Touch RX.SET from www.korgpa.comThis will allow the Pa1XPro elite to play an astounding piano sound based on the C520 and Pa800. Y ou really need to plug in the sustain pedal to hear this great sound.

3) Grouped Style Tracks
This one is big! By default, the first three assignable sliders now control the relative mix of Drums/Perc (Slider 1), Bass (Slider 2) and Accompaniment 1-5 (Slider 3). The mix you set will stay as you go from Style to Style.
4) Locate to Measure in Sequencer Record or Playback.
Just dial in the measure, press play and you are there!
5) Previously, you could only see the length of a Style Element (Variation, etc...) when the Style was playing.
Now, even when the Style is stopped, the measure length of that element is displayed.
6) Ending 3
With the Pa800, a third ending was added to many Styles. This data is now included in the 3.0 Resources, and the #1 Assignable Switch is set to Ending 3 by default.
7) CUE parameter.
Now you can decide how a new Style Element will enter - will it start from the current measure, from the first measure, will it start immediately or wait for the next measure, etc. This can be set per Style.
8) Transposed Chord Display.
If you transpose the playback of a Standard MIDI File, the chord names are also transposed and displayed correctly to match the playback.
9) Maximum Number of Samples
This has been doubled from 1,485 to 2,970. (More locations only - not more sample RAM).
10) I mproved compatibility with Pa800 data.
Whats the difference to the PA800?
the Pa1XPro elite has XLR Mic input, hard drive built in, CD-RW built in and 76 semi-weighted keys. Vocal effects are upgradeable to Voice Modeling and Pitch Correction(the Pa800 cannot play MP3 or CD Audio tracks in the Song Play Mode as can the Pa1X family)

I do alot of background and Karoke tracks for various companys. This is without a doubt the most versatile and useful board I have ever made money with. With the right amplification you can't tell if it's Live or Memorex. For those of us old enough to remember tape. The only drawback is that you have to pay to unlock all the features in the tc helicon unit. For this kind of money it should come unlocked.
