The industry
leader in powered portable speaker systems!
With more than
300,000 systems already being used in applications from
live sound reinforcement, speech and vocals to music playback in entertainment,
A/V and institutional environments, the JBL EON system is firmly entrenched
as the industry leader in powered portable speaker systems.
The flagship of the new series is the JBL EON15G2, delivering
300 watts of power to a 15" neodymium Differential Drive® LF driver.
The driver boasts a dual neodymium magnet and dual voice coil motor that
efficiently delivers high output from a lightweight woofer. Meanwhile,
the HF amplifier delivers 100 watts of power to a 1.75" titanium diaphragm
compression driver with Ferro-fluid cooling.
Also new are the EON15G2 System and EON10 G2 System, featuring
newly designed mixers with extended capabilities.
The first generation of EON speakers became the all time best selling portable powered speaker system. Now JBL Pro is making a great product even better. Look for these new features.
Expanded on-board mixing capability
More power
Better sound
More resilient material
The Loop/Mix output allows you to daisy-chain any number of EON speakers or send the EON's mixed signal directly to a main PA.
Two 1/4" line level inputs for electronic keyboards, pre-amplified guitars and basses, drum machines, CD players or an input from a mixer.
EON G2 delivers more real power to the speakers. The JBL EON15 G2 has 300 watts for low frequencies, a 130% increase over the original 15P. For high frequencies, the power has been boosted 100% to 100 watts
Special Features
Versatility. EON's input section allows both mic and line level inputs. In addition, the new Loop/Mix output allows you to daisy-chain EON speakers or send signal directly to the main PA.
Performance. JBL's exclusive Neodymium Differential Drive® transducer provides superior audio performance while reducing weight.
Innovation.JBL's exclusive Thermomaster® technology prevents thermal problems often exhibited in competitive products and eliminates the need for cooling fans and ugly external heatsinks, even at high volumes. Here's how Thermomaster technology works: EON's single piece cast aluminum baffle is thermally coupled to the heat producing elements. (Voice-coils and amplifier.) The woofer produces air movement, which flows through the finned ports and dissipates the heat.
More Power. With the EON15G2's additional power, you get cleaner, clearer sound at any volume. The low frequency has more than doubled to 300 watts and 100 watts are dedicated to the high frequency horn.
History. There are over 300,000 EON speakers being used. It IS the industry standard.

A Journeyman Carpenter by trade, but a musician by heart, my husband is a superb sound-man and musician----No, not just because he's my husband, but because with the JBL 15 EON second-generation powered speakers, he produces the best quality sound I've ever heard. We purchased the JBL 15 EON second-generation powered speakers about 6 months ago and my husband was skeptical. He read the manual (that's right, he's a guy and he actually read the instructions), and set the system up. The system consisted of the (2) JBL's 15 G2 EON powered speakers, a 16 channel Mackie mixer, a kick-butt Mackie subwoofer (2) 31-band equalizers, one voice processor, (1) eight-channel Direct Box, and an additional rack mixer to run the monitors (which will be the JBL 10 EON second generation powered speakers also). I'm here to tell you, this is the best sound I have ever heard. My husband is of the notion, that you should have more power than you need, so you can turn it down to get the best sound, free of distortion. He says that most musicians do not understand this concept and are continuously turning their systems up as the night goes on. I can't argue with him, because I've heard how it works. I get absolutely no distortion. My ears and the audience's ears do not ring after a performance. We set our system up in a venue, The American Legion, that local musicians call an Acoustical Nightmare. The American Legion Hall is 70' by 100' hall with domed wooden ceilings. We got clear, crisp sound, not only on stage, but in the back of the hall. According to my husband, he only used a fraction of the power this system has and he says I will probably never hear what it is actually capable of. This is my opinion about these speakers: I do home-recording of my music. When I'm on stage with this system, my husband is able to create a sound that is comparable to a recording studio and that's the truth. I am thrilled with the quality of these speakers and if you're thinking about buying these, take the plunge, because you won't regret it. Dr. Yvonne Vosburgh
