GLYPH GT205 DetailsThe GT 205 is a double-space five-bay FireWire enclosure specifically designed for applications requiring multiple drives. It can be configured with four GT Key hot-swappable drives in any available capacities, and its SCSI/FireWire expansion bay offers the option of AIT backup, a SCSI or FireWire hot-swap receiving bay, DVD-R/RW or CD-R/RW. Using Integrity™ , Glyph's proprietary hot-swap technology, you can easily shuttle content to other GT Series enclosures with the 7,200 RPM GT Key. Integrity™ is an advanced FireWire hot-swap interface that provides greater reliability than existing hybrid ATA-to- FireWire products. Focused on keeping your studio quiet, GT Keys incorporate sound-dampening metal in their frames. This composite metal technology absorbs drive vibration and reduces unwanted noise. Glyph's GT 205 comes standard with a three-year warranty, while GT Keys carry an additional overnight advance replacement warranty in the first year. The hot-swap drives in the GT 205 can be interchanged with the GT 051 tabletop and the GT 103 3-bay 1U enclosures. The GT 205 is configurable in any combination of up to four GT Key hot-swappable drives, plus the side-bay. Compatibility: Includes: Built for professional audio and video applications, Glyph's GT Series solutions are designed for recording and editing. Glyph engineers understand that when you're working in a studio environment, background noise can leak into your recording. GT Series solutions are quiet because they use tri-laminate metal mounting frames wherever hard drives attach to the chassis. This is a composite metal technology that protects your recordings from unwanted noise by reducing drive vibration before it turns into unwanted sound. Audio This high performance hard drive system is available in capacities up to 400GB, so you can record and edit hours of 24 track, 24bit 48kHz audio. It will even handle high definition sample rates, and includes formatting and partitioning software. Video FireWire has become the standard connectivity for the DV revolution. It's high transfer rates easily stream DV-format video with the use of Oxford's 911 chip, which Glyph uses in the GT Series. With up to 400GB, you'll have enough room to digitize and edit more than 24 hours of DV-format video. Check out the Video Storage Guide to determine how much space you'll need. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
