DIGITECH GNX3 Details
GNX3 GeNetX Guitar Processor (Floor unit)
Why someone hasn't done this before is anybody's guess, but the DigiTech team has jumped way ahead of the pack with their new GNX3 Guitar Workstation. For the first time, guitarists now have a complete, full-featured floor processor, plus an 8-track recorder combined into one unit, giving them a whole new level in creative power at a very affordable price.
Now, when a guitarist is practicing at home or is at a band rehearsal or jam session, those inspired solo moments won't be lost forever. And those magic riffs that come out of nowhere or are carefully worked out can be captured so you can get them down later. Just start the built-in 8-track recorder and all those "Wow, that was cool!" licks will be instantly recorded. And you can operate the recorder hands free.
But, the GNX3's power to unleash a guitarist's creative potential is fully realized in song writing. By utilizing the built-in drum machine and bass amp modeler, a guitarist can first lay down rhythm tracks on the built-in 8-track recorder. Then selecting from the GNX3's unlimited library of amp models, DigiTech's exclusive and powerful CIT™ (Cabinet Imaging Technology) feature, and a complete set of on-board effects, the guitarist can then lay down the guitar tracks. When that's finished, vocals can then be recorded on the remaining tracks using the balanced XLR mic input on the rear of the GNX3. Even keyboards and DJ scratching can be added through the rear-panel instrument input. There's no limit! Plus, recording time can be greatly increased utilizing the SmartMedia™ card slot on the rear panel. The GNX3 does not include a Smart Media Card .
NOTE:
16Meg Internal Memory included. 3,6, and 12 minutes recording time depending on setting quality. 8 tracks plus drums. Can record stereo.

DIGITECH GNX3 Downloads
The GNX3 is now shipping with two demo songs that showcase how the 8-track recorder can be used for creating both a song and a seamless loop. For those who have previously purchased a GNX3 without the demos, we have made these available to download both as actual song folders that can be imported into your GNX3 and as MP3's that you can audition.
*Downloading zipped files
Download the zipped files to your hard disk and use an unzip utility to extract them. Once unzipped, these files will appear as Song01_GNX3 and Song02_GNX3 folders. Just copy these folders onto a blank SmartMedia™ card and then insert it into the GNX3. These will now be recognized as songs 1 and 2 on the GNX3's recorder. Song 1 is a 2-track mixdown of several tracks. Song 2 is an 8-track loop (4 stereo tracks).**
**All tracks, including, vocals, drums, guitar, and bass were recorded and mixed directly on the GNX3 using its models, presets, effects, and built-in drum machine

what a pile of old cr p!! Bought one I'm into effects and processor units. But it's so fiddly the slightest mistake and it's running through crazy presets.. If i don't get a good free download of better presets its prob' going in the bin after i hit it with a big big hammer. Imagine your playing live and it starts all that cr p when your on stage!! I think i'm going back to my boss individual pedals, that was straight forward..Though the sound isn't as good not by a long shot..I can acheive the sound i want without little or no fuss..VinnyM'

I liked the GNX3 at first. Then I tried to record.I recorded a cool 3 track riff, but then I ran out of internal memory. So I call Musicians to ask about the Smart media card. They tell me that I can go to any store and pick one up.Not true. So I buy one off ebay,(the only place I could find one)and it wont format. I wish I would have spent the extra money and bought the GNX4. I thought I could save a bit and go the cheaper route. I guess you get what you pay for.
