As a ddrum4 owner you will have access to ddrum's large and constantly growing Sound Library for an unlimited number of sounds. Connect your ddrum4 to an internet connected computer and download new samples from Clavia's web site into your ddrum4 brain – free of charge! The ddrum4 Mega Drumkits Signature Series sounds, recorded by some of the world's greatest drummers, will take the sound and feel of your ddrum4 to an even higher level. And it won't cost you anything extra! Introduction The ddrum hardware basically consists of two parts: the sound module, the brain (sound module) and the controllers (pads, cymbals, Triggers etc.). Today, the ddrum4 SE is the model in production and this page shows what's available for the ddrum4 SE system. Thanks to an innovative design the ddrum4 SE is able to simulate the behavior of acoustic percussive sounds in many new ways. A special multi-sample playback engine has been developed to reproduce drum sounds more naturally than ever before. Easy to use Thanks to the ddrum Palette system you are able to change individual instruments with just one touch - without having to change a complete Kit setup. There's a BIG difference Since 1983 Clavia has been the leader of the digital percussion business, which has given ddrum the knowledge to open new doors in the world of digital technology. Now we proudly introduce the ddrum4 SE, the next logical step in the evolution of electronic percussion. The ddrum4 SE system offers new levels in terms of playback features, sample dumps and audio performance. With a large memory capacity, compact design, incomparable triggering response, and superb sound reproduction, the ddrum4 SE qualifies as one of the most ideal and useful digital percussion systems in the world. The intelligent design, coupled with "down to earth" playing features, sets ddrum4 SE apart from all others. Nothing else comes close! Boosted Sound Memory After many years (since 1983) of experience of sampling percussion sounds, Clavia has developed a new powerful algorithm for storing 16-bit linear percussive sounds in a highly efficient format. The new storing format is based on algorithms for analyzing redundancy in percussive sound with respect to the important transient response of a typical percussive instrument. Thanks to this effective storing format, the memory capacity is multiplied 4-6 times depending on the types of samples.
