Adding effects makes notes sound richer and deeper.

Auto-accompaniment
Even novices can sound like accomplished musicians.

Select the configuration that's best for you
A stand is available to configure the Privia for lessons or serious piano play. Or you can remove the stand for a basic compact configuration that fits in just about anywhere.

This 88 note Digital Piano is Casio's latest release, and being only 300mm deep, is compact enough to fit perfectly in your lounge room! It has 88 graduated hammer-action weighted keys, 10 instrument sounds and 20 rhythms and a songbank of 30 songs is built in. The PX-100 delivers all the tone quality and keyboard touch of a fine grand piano. The PX100 comes with a built-in metronome, as well as recording capabilities designed for both practice sessions and performances.

Other Casio PX 100 features include auto accompaniment for a wide range of musical genres, and a music library of preset tunes for practice or listening.

With Privia, Casio extends its history of leadership and innovation in the digital piano category, by delivering a truly portable digital piano with a real graded, weighted hammer action like an acoustic grand piano. In addition to it's light weight and ease of use, the new Privia series delivers exceptional value with remarkably affordable pricing previously unknown in the piano category.

Classical pianist and Privia representative artist Berenika Zakrzewski likens the responsive keyboard and rich tones to that of a grand piano. “With its responsive touch, it really brings out the singing, bright tones as well as the deep, rich tones, bringing all the elements together and making it very easy to play. Also, with its very modern and sleek design, it is at home anywhere in the house, or the world. The Privia's rich tone and responsive keyboard are the qualities I would look for when looking for a piano, and I would definitely recommend the Privia.” Ms. Zakrzewski is, at only 20, an accomplished pianist with a number of music competition victories and awards to her credit. She is the 1998 Grand Prize winner of the Nakamichi International Piano Competition, as well as 2002 winner of the prestigious Arthur W. Foote Award of the Harvard Association.

New technology rivals sound quality of a fine grand piano.

Casio has applied its advanced electronics technology to develop the HL (Highly-compressed Large-waveform) Sound Source, an innovative new audio processing chip that delivers sound quality rivaling that of a fine grand piano. The development process started by taking stereo samples of a world-class concert grand piano and storing the resulting sample waveforms in Privia's memory. Separate waveforms are used for strong keyboard pressure and light keyboard pressure, providing a full range of dynamic expression, from lilting pianissimos to thundering fortissimos. Sound is further enhanced by a pair of semi-custom speakers to ensure optimum sound quality throughout the full 88 key range.

New scaled hammer action keyboard designed to capture the touch of a grand piano.

Privia's new hammer action keyboard has been based on a detailed analysis of the dynamic characteristics of a concert grand piano keyboard. The mechanics of Privia's keyboard have been carefully engineered to capture the finest nuances of touch and feel. This innovative new keyboard does not use springs, so that keys react naturally to even slight changes in key pressure for virtually unlimited expressivity. The hammer action of the keyboard has been "scaled," which means that lower range keys feel heavier, while keys in the higher range feel lighter, just like the keys of an acoustic grand piano.

An amazingly affordable price

The Privia line delivers category leading performance and quality at a remarkably affordable price, making the joys of playing the piano available to more people than ever before. Anyone who has avoided purchasing a quality piano in the past due to cost concerns finally has a solution with Privia.

Unbelievable! $500 for a graded hammer action digital piano. Sound is as good as $1000 models by most other brands. Action is decent. Speaker system is OK.
