Owing to the instrument’s bronze construction, the timbre of the S-992 soprano saxophone takes on a gorgeous sweetness that can be easily distinguished at any dynamic and any range. Two interchangeable straight and curved bronze neckpipes come standard, the straight producing the traditional soprano sound, the curved imparting an added warmth to the instrument’s already mellow tone. Look for the same advancements, including improved intonation, as found in this model’s S-991 counterpart.
