The PSR-S900 gives you the same ultra-quality sounds found on top-of-the-line Yamaha Portable keyboard, has 392 realistic instrument voices and 305 accompaniment styles powered by MegaVoices. Further, Super Articulation Voices reproduce acoustic and other instruments so authentically that you will feel as if you are playing the real thing. Newly designed panel layout makes operating and playing exceptionally easy and intuitive. All panel controls and buttons are right in the front of you, logically arranged for optimum performing convenience - allowing you to seamlessly switch setting as you play, and perform like a true pro. *The Data List contains various important preset content lists such as Multi Pads and Effects, as well as MIDI-related information. MegaVoice Technology
It features multiple samples across the keyboard with sophisticated velocity switching - for incredibly authentic instrument sounds. It contains not only the basic samples of the instrument but also the performance techniques used with it. On a guitar for instance, players will hear open and mute string sounds, dead notes, hammering effects, slide effects, harmonics and a wide range of strum and body noises. In technical terms, MegaVoice duplicates an instrument's behavior. In sonic terms, this gives the keyboard stunningly realistic sounds.
USB Audio Recorder
You can record your performance as audio data to a USB storage device. Connect a microphone or guitar to the instrument and enjoy recording a guitar and keyboard performance together, or record your singing along with song playback.
Vocal Harmony
The amazing Vocal Harmony feature automatically produces backup vocal harmonies for lead vocals that you sing into a microphone. You can even change the gender of the harmony voices - for example, letting you add female backup to your own male voice (or vice versa).
Organ Flutes
This special function not only gives you a full set of rich and luscious organ sounds, it also lets you create your own original organ voices, just as on a traditional organ, by increasing and decreasing the flute footages, and adding percussive sounds.
Music Finder
When you want to play in a certain genre of music but don't know which settings to choose, what can you do? Music Finder has the answer. It offers an extensive range of music styles with pre-programmed voices and effects setups. Search for suitable styles. It instantly call up the best-suited voices, tempo and accompaniment style to match the song name or music style you wish to play. Simply call up a song title and start playing.
Online, On-demand Music
Bring your instrument online and tap into the worldwide music network! Yamaha has created a new, essential online service for musicians everywhere: Internet Direct Connection (IDC). IDC lets you connect the instrument directly to the Internet, without a computer, letting you delve into thousands of MIDI songs on our custom website, and download your favorite music for playback on the instrument.
LAN Port
LAN Port is for a wired internet connection the same as a LAN terminal you see on a computer. Stay connected and directly access to the Yamaha's special service "Internet Direct Connection (IDC)" without a computer. Once you're online with IDC, you can download your favorite contents straight to your instrument. And that's just the beginning - the fun and excitements start from there!
USB TO DEVICE Terminal
Insert a USB flash memory in the USB TO DEVICE terminal on the instrument. It would let you save or load the registered settings and user songs created on the instrument, as well as read data from the connected device.

With 891 instrumental voices Yamaha PSRS900 offers the player a huge sonic palette. Most of these voices are coming from high end models - including 20 Live! Voices, 26 Cool! Voices and 22 Sweet! Voices as well as 15 Mega! Voices and even 23 Super Articulation Voices included.
The amazing Super Articulation voices open a completely new level of sonic realism and expressiveness. You’ll feel as if you’re playing the real thing! Super Articulation Voices give you the unique performance characteristics of each instrument and are perfect for playing solo passages and legato melodies, intelligently adding the right expressive nuances to your performance as you play. The expanded range of Mega! Voices feature various playing techniques and performance sounds – such as finger slides and fret noise on Guitar Voices and shakes on Trumpet voices – designed specifically to enhance playback of the 305 built-in Styles.
For each Style there are four One Touch Setting so that you get the perfect instrumental setting by pressing just one button. The OTS-Link-Function allows you to change automatically through the One Touch Setting just by changing the Style-variation.
If you want to play a certain song and don’t know which style to choose, the powerful Music Finder feature can help. Simply select a song title or a keyword, all appropriate panel settings are reconfigured to match the genre, including the appropriate voices, style and effects. Music Finder+ also works with the Internet Direct Connection (IDC) feature, allowing you to download additional free Music Finder records and collections in addition to the wide selection built in to the instrument.
The colour LCD display shows the song notation of a MIDI file (score) as well as lyrics (for MIDI songs that have score and lyric data). A special display function allows you to show text files you’ve created on a computer - making it possible to display lyrics for songs that maybe don’t have lyric data, or for creating your own onscreen chord charts and song memos. And to get your karaoke party swinging, PSRS 900 has a Video Output so that you can show the keyboard’s display on a TV or projector.
Connect a microphone and automatically have backing singers mixed with your voice – that’s the PSR-S900’s Vocal Harmony Feature. . A powerful Bass-Reflex-speaker system and 2 x 12 watts amplification guarantees outstanding realism of sound, whilst the integrated Network-connector (LAN-Port) ensures ease of use with Yamaha’s unique Internet Direct Connection (IDC) feature. The USB to device connection opens the possibility to connect USB storage devices such as thumb drives to the instrument, giving you virtually unlimited memory capacity for user registrations, styles and songs.
