YORKVILLE CM1260 Details

The 150-Watt CM1260 contains a single 12" speaker and horn. Each enclosure features a 1" Mylar high frequency driver firing through a 40 x 60 for unsurpassed sonic clarity. Time-tested passive crossover networks (12 dB per octave) ensure sonic accuracy and CTL protection circuitry guards against damage to the high frequency drivers.

In the lower frequency range, the rugged custom design woofer combines solid performance with outstanding reliability. The enclosure features an inset input-jack plate containing binding post and 1/4" phone connectors. The enclosure is finished in durable white, two-part epoxy paint and incorporates a curved, anti-resonance speaker grille constructed of perforated 16-gauge steel and featuring a grille clip attachment system for quick removal since both enclosure and grille can be easily refinished. Painstaking attention to design details includes the enclosure itself which is constructed of highly rigid 15mm, 11-ply Baltic birch.

Coliseum CU15 - Screen Cutaway After years of experience with enclosure design, it was logical for Yorkville to apply its knowledge to the design of a range of speaker cabinets that have been specifically designed for installation purposes. The knowledge that we gained while developing the TX, élite, Pulse and Performance series enclosures was applied to yield a series of practical yet cost effective installation enclosures. The combination of custom designed woofers and compression drivers mounted on Yorkville's exclusive ABS horns, and less complex crossover networks has proven to be an excellent compromise between performance and price.

All wooden Coliseum series enclosures are now constructed of highly rigid 15mm (.59") Baltic Birch plywood. Although the standard, rugged white epoxy finish is clean and attractive, all Coliseum series enclosures are also available by special order in Black Ultrathane or unpainted Birch (significant delivery times may apply). Their trapezoidal shape is conducive to array mounting and minimizes lobing difficulties. Flypoints are steel reinforced and engineered to allow easy, flexible and safe enclosure suspension.

All enclosures and grilles can be easily refinished and feature a grille clip attachment system for easy removal and recovering. Painstaking attention to design details is evident by features such as the safety screw hidden under the embossed Yorkville logo, which ensures that the grille does not inadvertently come loose.
