The Adamas Ovation has been an integral part of Etheridge's sound throughout her career. This signature model celebrates and honors that long association of artist and instrument. Its mid-depth body with cutaway, carbon-fiber SMT top, and quintad bracing creates an instrument with a bright, clear tone that seldom feeds back on stage. The neck is two-piece dark walnut with Kaman Bar support and an ebony fretboard. Gold Schallers®, single-ply white binding, ebony bridge, and a ruby burst over graphite finish give it a very tasty, uptown look. A Tru-Balance pickup and OP24 Plus C preamp give it true and trouble-free amplified sound. Inside you'll find a special Adamas label, hand-signed by Melissa herself. Hardshell case included.

OP-Pro Preamp

1. GAIN: Adjusts the overall output level of the preamp.
2. LOW EQ: Boosts or cuts the low frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
3. MID EQ: Boosts or cuts the middle frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
4. HIGH EQ: Boosts or cuts the high frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
5. PRE-EQ: Selects or bypasses a preset tone enhancement ciruit.
6. TUNE: Activates the built-in tuner function.
7. TUNER DISPLAY: When you play a note after pressing the Tune button, the Tuner Display Window displays the following information with symbols: Tuner Enabled, Note in Tune, Note Flat, Note Sharp.
8. BATTERY PHANTOM: he bi-color LED performs several functions. (1) To indicate power up (2) To indicate low battery and (3) To indicate phantom power for models equipped with an XLR output jack.

Battery Replacement

The XLR jack featured on certain OP-Pro equipped guitars gives you a professional, balancedline connection to mixers and high-end acoustic amps. The phantom power capability allows your mixer to power the preamp. Any XLR cable with a ground-to-shell connection (Ovation P/N 9658-0) is required for the auto power-on function. A "dummy plug" (Ovation P/N 9659-0) inserted into the 1/4" jack can be used instead, if the proper XLR cable is not available.

The 1/4" jack on all models provides an unbalanced, line-level connection to most any amplification system. Inserting a plug into this jack also turns on the preamp system. Please note that the tuner is functional without any connection.
