We've taken four of our most popular models - the Elite, Legend, Standard Elite and Standard Balladeer - and given them the full upgrade treatment. They're lighter, louder, richer and fuller - all the things you want your guitar to be.

The smooth, hard composite Lyrachord GS body improves projection and reflects top vibrations better than traditional material and is now even stronger and lighter. The LX features a scalloped bracing pattern that evenly supports the top to provide the ultimate in acoustic output. The exotic wood leaf-shaped "epaulets" are now inlaid into the top with laser precision.

Highest quality materials and outstanding sound: the new Custom Legend represents the top-of-the-line model within the LX Series. No fewer than 300 individual pieces fo the finest abalone have been hand-inlaid by Ovations experienced luthiers. The Custom Legend LX features all the upgrades only available in the LX Series.

OP-Pro Preamp

1. GAIN: Adjusts the overall output level of the preamp.
2. LOW EQ: Boosts or cuts the low frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
3. MID EQ: Boosts or cuts the middle frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
4. HIGH EQ: Boosts or cuts the high frequency elements of the guitar's sound.
5. PRE-EQ: Selects or bypasses a preset tone enhancement ciruit.
6. TUNE: Activates the built-in tuner function.
7. TUNER DISPLAY: When you play a note after pressing the Tune button, the Tuner Display Window displays the following information with symbols: Tuner Enabled, Note in Tune, Note Flat, Note Sharp.
8. BATTERY PHANTOM: he bi-color LED performs several functions. (1) To indicate power up (2) To indicate low battery and (3) To indicate phantom power for models equipped with an XLR output jack.

Output Connections

The XLR jack featured on certain OP-Pro equipped guitars gives you a professional, balancedline connection to mixers and high-end acoustic amps. The phantom power capability allows your mixer to power the preamp. Any XLR cable with a ground-to-shell connection (Ovation P/N 9658-0) is required for the auto power-on function. A "dummy plug" (Ovation P/N 9659-0) inserted into the 1/4" jack can be used instead, if the proper XLR cable is not available.

The 1/4" jack on all models provides an unbalanced, line-level connection to most any amplification system. Inserting a plug into this jack also turns on the preamp system. Please note that the tuner is functional without any connection.
