The MXL V87 Cardioid Condenser Microphone is a modestly priced recording and broadcast microphone for the project studio, home studio, etc. The microphone features a condenser element and low noise output stage that ensures pristine audio quality. Its cardioid polar pattern is effective in rejecting off-axis noise and feedback. The V87 features a standard 3-pin XLR output, requires +48V phantom power and includes an aluminum case and shockmount.

The MXL V87 is a low noise (8.5dBA) large gold diaphragm condenser microphone designed for critical recording applications. Not only is the V87 extremely quiet but it features a FET preamp and transformer output for a truly vintage sound. A punchy midrange and full round low end make the V87 an essential microphone for recording both vocal and instrumental performances.
