For DJs, Singers and other Performers, the capability to freely express musical dreams and fantasies can now be achieved easily with features such as being able to simultaneously play 2 Wave, 2 Midi or MP3 files and fluently ‘fade’ from one to another. The MIDIJAY features also an exceptional Drum Machine to perform with outstanding Drum Loops (stereo wave files which offer perfect rhythms for House, Dance, R&B and pop music), Special Effect backgrounds, Vocalizer, Hard Disk for massive storage (20G) and direct recording capabilities, a professional Sound module and Arranger ! PERFORM WITH A DIFFERENCE - PLAY WITH STYLE! The ease of use combined with the new technology that resides inside the MIDIJAY are some of the features that will truly distinguish it from any other units of such class. Direct access to the Hard Disk (zero latency) quickly allows you to access the various kinds of music files (Midi, Wave and MP3 ) while the Alpha dial provides for searching through a capacity of about 1000 MP3s, 10,000 Midifiles or 250 songs in stereo wave format (sampled at 44KHz/16 bit) either numerically or alphabetically. AUTO CROSSFADE / LEAD VOICE MUTE ! With the automatic CROSSFADE, it is now possible to playback two Wave, two Midi files and MP3 and gradually fade out from one into another with no distinctive ‘stop’ between the music. Utilizing the Transposer function, you can also change the pitch/key of the music without changing the tempo. Better still, become the singer/performer by using the LEAD MUTE which will suppress (or reduce) the lead voice of the music being played, allowing you to sing along to the music (karaoke style). PLAY LIST – THE MAGICAL TOUCH ! The MIDIJAY allows you to create your own music lists of 10 files each (a combination of Wave, Midi or MP3 files). Each list can be quickly loaded from the HD (in approx 200 milliseconds!) and instantly played with no wait-time. To add more to this feature, while a song is playing, another can be successively loaded. You will always have access to the songs and music for a right Gig at your fingertips. Utilizing the Song Chain mode, you can also program the order in which these 10 files will play automatically, without any interruption. DJ LOOPS and GROOVES. The MIDIJAY is not only a Player but also an amazing Drum Machine, incorporating over 100 new DJ Loops and Audio Grooves in Stereo wave format (44KHz/16Bit) featuring Dance, Pop, R&B, Chill Out and Lounge. Of course, KETRON could not leave out the classical acoustic Drum patterns like Swing, Latin, Country, Folk and various other genres of music with no compromise audio quality. Moreover, with the MIDIJAY, you will be able to create your new DJ Loops by selecting your own Wave samples and organizing them into Intro, 4 Variations, Fill in, Break and Ending. Within the Grooves section , you’ll find several Audio Loops already perfectly synchronized with the Midi clock of the Player (or external midi controller) allowing the tempo to be varied from 50 to 250 beats per minute with no change to the pitch of the sample! SOUND MODULE AND ARRANGER. The MIDIJAY is also a very powerful Sound module and Arranger with over 300 GM sounds, 22 new Drum Sets,72 Live Drums and 128 Styles. By using an external Midi controller (Keyboard, Midi Guitar or Sequencer, e.g. KETRON GP10) you will be able to play the renowed KETRON orchestral voices and to control it’s powerful Arranger section. Each Style is composed by Drum1, Drum2, Bass and 5 Chords parts featuring Intro, 4 Arrangers / Variations, Fill in, Break and Ending. The MIDIJAY also guarantees a perfect compatibility with the Midifile and Pattern libraries of the KETRON SD1, SD1 Plus, XD and X series models. SPECIAL BACKGROUND EFFECTS. Why not enhance your music by adding outstanding ‘ EFFECTS ‘to your current selection? The MIDIJAY’s SFX section includes a great variety of high quality sound effects with natural ambience such as vocals, scratch, animals, natural atmosphere, thunderstorm, rain and more. THE MIDIFILE’S GETTING COOL The DRUM REMIX feature allows you to replace those mechanical drum tracks usually associated with many Midi files, with any of the 128 internal Live Styles. Besides you can now add text to your music (either Midifiles, Wave or MP3) and display these on an external monitor or TV screen perfectly synchronized to your music (karaoke) and you can also link Midi file to Wave or Mp3. So now, you won’t need any more lyric paper while performing as your text will be right in front of you – either on the screen or an external monitor! Moreover a metronome audio click is supported for playing in session with ‘human’ drummers.The MIDIJAY also provides the capability to edit within the Midifile the main parameters such as Volume, Prog. Change, Effects, Transposer, ASDR (Attack, Sustain, Decay, Release), Filter, Events and even Levels for each single Drum section ( Kick, Snare, Hi Hat ... ). DIGITAL NETWORKING With the USB port, you can now connect the MIDIJAY to your computer for transferring Digital Audio, Midi, Text or any other necessary file. Your PC will automatically recognize the HD of the MIDIJAY as another mass storage device allowing huge files to be transferred quickly and directly (Windows XP ™ or Windows 2000 ™) between both. The files can be further edited on your computer and then saved directly onto the HD of the Player. Using the Line Input, you can connect an external device such as CD, Mini disk or DAT and control it’s volume directly from the panel layout. Hard disk recording has been expanded with the capability to record by a microphone (while singing to a Midi or MP3 file) a stereo track in Wave format ( uncompressed ) onto the HD instantly, or to transfer some of your favourite Cd’s or old tapes for better storage and preservation HUGE SONG LIBRARY ON INTERNAL HD. The HD of the MIDIJAY comes loaded with hundreds of Midifiles ( International orchestras, Instrumental and Evergreen Hits), over 100 DJ Loops and Grooves, 200 Special Effects and 128 Styles.
