I bought this kit because I live in a townhouse and absolutely love it. For the price it's easily in competition with other more expensive drum kits. The brain has tons of inputs outputs and drum sounds (although most of the preprogrammed kits are kind of cheesy). I think the drum pads actually feel more realistic than Roland's mesh pads (plus, because they use standard drum heads, they're cheaper and easier to replace). The variable velocity triggers work very well for both the drums and the cymbals. Also, there's a cross talk setting in the brain to prevent pads from picking up other sounds. I would make a couple of suggestions, though. First, I added a Yamaha TP60 pad (little rubber pad) next to my snare drum for doing rim sticks (the pads are only single trigger). Second, I bought an extra cymbal so I could have two crashes. Two complaints: there isn't any pre-programmed drumless music to practice with and playing an open high hat can be a bit dodgy. All in all I'm highly pleased with this product.
